Youth Development Worker
£21-23,000 pro rata
30 hours per week (part-time)
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape Scran Academy’s youth work offer on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for a dynamic youth practitioner with a passion for young people and seeing them develop in life. The purpose of the role is to promote the personal and social development of young people through running our education and youth work programmes. This role is the critical point of contact for Scran young people and you will be responsible for ensuring that young people are engaged across the organisation. In short, this role is about defending, caring, engaging and empowering young people.
You will be joining an inspiring team of 7 staff based in North Edinburgh along with our numerous volunteers, Trustees and partners. This role suits someone who enjoys a flexible, dynamic and fulfilling work life and wants to make a difference to young people who need us most.
HOURS & BENEFITS:
Our Academy programme currently operate Tuesdays & Thursdays with the remaining hours being determined as mutually agreed and required. This (unsurprisingly) will involve evening and weekend work on occasions.
