Catering for the future
Scran Cafe is our busiest operation serving teas, coffees and tasty scran! It is currently open Monday to Friday to staff and trainees in NHS Lothian's Comely Bank Centre.

Our dedicated Food Production Coordinator runs the cafe with a small team of expert young people who have proved themselves to be fantastic members of staff. We serve hot drinks, breakfasts, lunches and sweet treats - including Kim's infamous brownies! We're a bit of a home from home for our lovely regulars and a wee escape from the offices and corridors of the centre for the trainees.
Our cafe is also an important part of our work supporting young people in education, employment and wider life. It offers fantastic opportunities for work experience in cooking, catering, customer service and menu development. We're so proud to partner with NHS Lothian in our cafe, it's become our beating heart and a hugely important part of Scran Academy!
