Catering for the future
The Scran Van is our mobile kitchen and catering service, providing celebratory meals and delicious scran for private parties and community celebrations. We work across Edinburgh and Lothians in partnership with other charities to provide a lively, fun and nourishing atmosphere at outdoor events!

The Scran Van runs on the power of young people. Our wee team of heroes gain kitchen-based skills by producing large quantities of food alongside our chefs that nourishes the wider community. Our van volunteers gain work experience and confidence through giving back to their communities, often serving friends, family and neighbours.
By using food to bring communities together, the Scran Van offers unique support to groups that tackles issues of holiday hunger, social isolation and junk food culture. Most importantly, we believe that young people are best placed to help their communities, and the Van exists to provide opportunities for them to respond with food that nourishes more than just an empty stomach.
