Ross Campbell
Youth Worker
I had a bit of an unorthodox journey before coming into Youth Work. After achieving a degree in Marketing and having a steady career in Accounting, I decided I wanted to make a difference and do something more rewarding. After completing an HNC in Social Services, I went on to complete a placement at The Citadel Youth Centre and decided to become a Youth Worker. I also work at Granton Youth and previously worked in Wester Hailes at the Youth Agency.
As a Youth Development Worker at Scran, I play a key role in forming relationships with our young people and fostering an environment of trust and teamwork. I help the Academy Lead to plan, deliver, and review all aspects of the Academy Programme, and I co-lead on the delivery of the Tutoring Project.
Outside of Scran, I enjoy cooking—especially curries—being outside in nature, and spending time with my wife, nieces, and nephews. I have a love for coffee and Middle Eastern food, and I follow South American football. I also love travelling, experiencing other cultures, and visiting new places.
