Louise Ufer-Nolte

Head of Youth Programmes

I joined Scran Academy in 2025, bringing with me a strong background in coaching, mentoring, and community engagement. I previously worked within the prison service, supporting adult men in custody to prepare for employment on release through job fairs, qualifications, and in-prison interviews. I later moved into the third sector as an Outreach Coordinator with Venture Trust, where I managed teams and coordinated personal development programmes across the east of Scotland for young people, women, veterans, and those involved in the criminal justice system.

As Head of Youth Programmes at Scran Academy, I lead the strategic development and delivery of youth-focused initiatives, ensuring young people have access to meaningful opportunities that support their personal growth and employability. I oversee programme design, partnerships, and impact measurement, while continuing to champion tailored support through placements, mentoring, and group work. My approach is rooted in compassion, trust, and adaptability—building a values-led leadership style that nurtures potential and drives meaningful change.

I am married and a proud dog mum to my miniature schnauzer, Reggie. A self-confessed film buff with a particular love for horror, I also run a professional organising business at weekends, helping people bring clarity and calm to their homes and routines.
