Catering for the future!
Giuliano Buoninconti
Youth Development Food Worker
he/him
Before joining Scran Academy, I spent several years working as a professional chef, developing my culinary skills in busy, fast-paced kitchens. Alongside my career in hospitality, I studied music composition and audio production, nurturing a lifelong passion for creativity and the arts.
As a Youth Development Food Worker at Scran Academy, I combine my culinary expertise with a commitment to supporting young people. I lead kitchen-based learning programmes and deliver Qualification Scotland qualifications, helping participants develop practical, industry-relevant skills. Beyond cooking, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for young people to build confidence, express themselves creatively, and discover their strengths in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Outside of work, I dedicate much of my time to music. Based in Lanark, I’m a keen guitarist and am currently writing and recording an original concept album with my progressive metal band. When I’m not making music, I enjoy reading and practising calligraphy.
