Before I worked in the café, I knew Scran because I had been on their programmes. I did the Clan, then Scransitions, and did a work placement in the Comely Bank Café and in the NHS Western General Hospital, which is where I decided I wanted to be a nurse. This led me on to doing tutoring with Scran, which helped me to get my qualifications to get into college.
When Scran was opening their new café in RHCYP, the team got in touch with me and asked if I’d like a job there because I live close by and college hadn’t started yet. I like working here and get on with everyone, which is great. It’s also really nice as some of the NHS staff know I want to be a nurse, and they sit and talk to me about it and give me advice. I think it’s cool as I am serving people who I want to be like.
Outside of Scran, I like to go out with my friends and family and go for a coffee and catch up and go shopping.
