I have over 20 years of hospitality management and catering experience with a background in community food research within Edinburgh and the Western Isles.

As Community Food Coordinator at Scran Academy, my role encompasses the delivery of SQA and REHIS qualifications, as well as the planning and delivery of the Scran Clan outreach programme through our mobile kitchen, the Scran Van. My primary objective is to inspire young people to lead and deliver community meals and food events with confidence. Through my work, I aim to promote the value of community engagement and to instil a sense of pride and responsibility in our young people by empowering them to take ownership of their future.

When I am not working, I enjoy walking my dog, going to pilates, and seeing what is new out at the cinema.
