Catering for the future!

Beth Sutherland
Scransitions Programme Lead
Prior to working with Scran, I worked as an Advocacy Worker supporting Young Carers. I also have a background in addiction support, criminal justice rehabilitation and coordinating a mentor support service for vulnerable young people. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals within our communities to access the encouragement, opportunities and resources they deserve. I find such joy in walking alongside those I support while they do so and feel very lucky to have the opportunity.
In my role as Scransitions Programme Lead, I am responsible for delivering, developing and promoting our Scransitions Programme – ensuring that all young people participating have access to person centred, individualised support that empowers them to work towards their future goals, whatever that may be. My approach is grounded in a strong belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to grow, engage with meaningful support and access the opportunities that bring them joy and help them flourish.
Outside of my role at Scran, I can often be found out running, heading off on an adventure or spending time with my family. If I'm not on the go, I am likely reading, watching a film or on a walk somewhere near the sea, where I can pretend I'm on holiday for a few minutes!
