Youth Development Food Worker

I joined Scran Academy in early 2025 as a Youth Development Food Worker. Before that, I studied History at university and pursued my interest in education and youth work—whether through tutoring, volunteering, or mentoring. After graduating, I spent several years teaching in South Korea, where I led English and global culture classes for young people aged 7 to 16. That experience helped shape my passion for creating inclusive learning environments where young people feel supported, valued, and capable. So joining Scran felt like a natural next step in that journey, allowing me to combine my love of teaching with my passion for food and community.

At Scran, I deliver programmes that blend food education with personal development. Whether that’s through Scransitions, Scran Café placements, or our mobile catering van, I work closely with young people to build their confidence, skills, and sense of direction. I also help make sure our programmes are safe, impactful, and grounded in strong partnerships with other organisations.

Outside of work, I love making ceramics, hiking, rock climbing, and generally just getting outdoors.
